Carl a avcr is the apexi boost controller I have in mine, they don't come as standard, do you not mean Avcs on the cams, if so I think the wrx comes with it

yes thats right the 2.5 wrx has AVCS variable cam timing on inlet

thats what i ment iddy so the avcr can be fitted to hawk wrx just someone asked today new the sti had it wasnt sure about the wrx

Think you are getting a little confused with AVCS and AVC-R
AVCS stands for active valve control system, this allows the valve timing to be changed to improve performance and economy.
An AVC-R is a stand alone boost controller made by Apexi, this controller uses a 3 port boost control solenoid valve and a 3 bar manifold absolute pressure sensor, they can be used on a hawkeye wrx to control boost but not the valve timing.
AVC-R stands for active valve control (racing)

does the hawk wrx run 440 cc injectors with it haveing 2.5 and tdo4 fitted?what a cracking read jonny explains a lot
