help, running lean Empty
PostSubject: help, running lean   help, running lean EmptyTue 18 Sep - 19:14

went to drews yesterday and had a look at the live data and its showing my car is running very lean
it started last week with severe hesitation and idle issues
so far i'v changed:
spark plugs
coil pack
ht leads
map sensor
coolant temp sensor
front lambda
fuel filter
fuel pump

i'm running out of ideas now, had it on the rollers at evotune today (done a respectable 131bhp with the problems i have)
and i was advised to check my fuel pump, voltage is showing fine about 12-13v during idle... changed it anyway incase i had a weak motor
jamie at evotune did mention that my AFR was jumping about between 16:1 to 22:1
my next option could be inlet manifold gaskets? just need to figure out of that could be a problem?

Could be an injector.

Rather than just fitting new parts may be better to get it to someone with some know on to properly check it over, guessing at new parts costs alot these days Sad

I don't really want to jinx myself but I think I have sorted it
I think it was my fuel pressure regulator.. After I changed it the car drove like crap but when I left the car for about an hour, it drove for 20miles with no issues and loads of power!!
Fingers crossed its like that in the morning on a cold start

i personally think it was the j-performance lamba adaptor what was ur problem.

which you removed at my place at the same time as fitting a FPR ...

can you post a pic ov the adapter too see what jonny, kindon and drew think ????

cos av never see nowt like that and would be surprised if ur 2nd lamba got any reading at all....

take a pic ov how big it is (double the size ov ones drew has)

and take a pic ov the hole in the bottom please...

a would dare bet this has been ur problem all along.....
