| Its not a hard job just time consuming and there is a load to do. Then your into dodgy territory with insurance as it wont be valid and if u tell insurance it goes from the engine not the car so turbo insurance. If your willing to run the risk of 6 points and the rest of the book thrown at you then its benificisl in insurance cost only. Its nt cheaper than buying a turbo as you need engine, gearbox and diff, wiring looms this goes from behond dash and under carpets ext as they seem to differ from years Then braking system Ecu Clocks Various other bits i think radiator ect
Good weeks work in it if you got plenty spare time | |

| If your going legit then it would be better off selling the sport and putting that money plus tge conversion money and buying a uk turbo mate | |

| In my opinion people who drive converted sports are only doing it for one reason... Insurance fraud,,,,, fookin scumbags who do this are the reason why almost every member of this forum pay over the odds on our premiums. | |

| I was thinking of doing a conversion a few years back, I'd already modified my car as much as I could without touching the engine so I figured transplanting a turbo engine was the way to go. Then I changed my mind after reading an article in a magazine about it. I've got this little clip from it here:- Now I'd recommend just buying a turbo car if your looking for more power and speed. Otherwise just keep the Sport if you're using it as a run around/ works car. | |
