Inlet manifold removal help

hey

im going to be removing my inlet manifold ready to be sprayed in sti wrinkle red

before i attempt it is there any hints or tips to make my life a bit easier,

never done it before so this is very new to me lol but the only way im going to learn is by getting stuck in and doing it so

any help would be appreciated

They not back to remove just a bit of a fk on, fuel lines unplug the harness just behind the battery & leave it on the manifold undo the turbo intake pipe hose clip,4 bolts on each side mani-heads, when you start to lift the mani unplug the coolant temp sensor& knock sensor

I've a spare 99/00 manifold that can be powder coated etc quicker

cheers for the advice, do i have to unplug the fuel pump near the ecu to release the pressure aswell as opening the fuel cap, the car hasnt ran in about 6month lol

ive heard some bad things about powder coating the inlet?

Got to make sure the powder coat can take the heat. I was going to test some inlet manifolds in my workshop but ended up selling my car.

Powder coating on thems no problem just make sure they cleaned out before refitting

i think ill just stick to a DIY job lol

i like the look of the orginal crinkle

ive bought all the nessacary gaskets including

2 manifold gaskets

1 turbo gasket

1 throttle body gasket

1 icv gasket

is there anything else i will need?

I can wet paint them for you. Any colour of your choice

Wot temp would you say the inlets reach ?
