should we relaunch

Been thinking should Nesf relaunch its Facebook page keep it a closed group to prevent ppl we don't know causing problems or being abusive

Abit pointless when everyone is on here really.

Not really as could keep albums of trips out
Ppls cleaning tips
lads can post videos to show how to doing things
Theres loads of things we can use fb for

Do albums of monthly meets too

i dont think it pointless its dying at death on here people spend most time on fb already im a massive fan of "the good modified subaru page" there is no crack or bantor on here for fear of being told off or deleted no one cares on here any more was nice to catch up with some of the lads on here and they all for the run outs but on here no ones botherd most runs out are sorted out over face book any way

I agree with bish,its quiet on here and theres the odd few cry babies that cant take a joke ..the whole car scenes dead not just nesf and is only goin to get worse unfortunately ...people and priorities change

ya get people who love to argue on the internet its funny as hell sat behind there akforty keyboard but then again ya get the odd idiot who does things to there cars cant take criticism even when what they do is shit id hope if i done some thing ridiculous some one would tell me if i was you make a fb page some thing needs to be done as its getting proper pooh on here lately it use to be a laugh on here and people tell me about the class runs out we use to have i was talking to some tts lads the other and they where sound lads with nice cars me and nick had a right laugh with them and when i said how come ya site is shit and like a ghost town there reply was "probs coz we out in our cars having a good time" honaslty we all need sort our shit out coz this site is goin the same way im just a member and just telling it how it is i want us to have the best club i want us to have the good runs out WE ARE A CAR CLUB FFS mario posted about goin to malton one of the best runs out you will ever have 3 people goin and you will all post "looks good that" or "nice pics" but i will be even better if we was all there

In theory it would be good .but in reality it wont work,theres too many probs with idiots.iknow where your coming from bishand atat the end of the day most people want whats best for the club.there was a comment made not so long back about me not having a scoob sonwhy be on here .i enjoy the craic/banter and have made so reet good mate s over the last 4/5 yrs and like to think i have picked up some subaru knowledge not much but a bit..i do other stuff for the club which a lot of members dont know about...
your probably best contacting Jonny or Finn about the facebook page as they started it and I'm sure Finn closed it..
as for tts there was bad blood between certain members of tts and some on here..

All car forums are in the same state. The Facebook page does not synch or mirror this so there would be 2 sites to manage. Even if it is a closed FB page what's to stop the usual idiots joining as a member of NESF and then registering on the FB page and being idiots the same as what happened last ime?

There are boat loads of Subaru appreciation pages on FB already. I also know of lots of nesf members who don't use Facebook. Look at Summer Maddness Croft! Dogs dinner, over 31 people going until it's time to pay and get organised and almost a third drop off.

its not just the drop offs mate its the actually getting people to do stuff in the first place and where is the crack gone where is the fun gone is it coz people scared to say anything ? be nice if people get involved

I think it has something to do with money. Most people (myself included) either dont have time or the money to go on drives out. Only 1 i missed (that I had name down for) was NBO coz of HG. Luckily iv sorted a new job out better money and im just gettin the car how I want it mechanically so ill be joining in on days out without a doubt as its good crack and a laugh. There seems to be a few clicks on here aswel. I get on with alot of lads on here, I still aint met afew regulars like you Andy, Iddy, Daz etc but im sure it will come. we should have a good ride out once/twice a month. Maybe vote for places to go that will suit the majority?
How come founder members aint regulars on here anymore?
