Well for my 100th post I thought I would post something interesting - So what interesting cars have you all owned in the past?

Got a good list of previously owned - talk about wasted youth! Used to work offshore and loads of spare time so used to buy loads of dealer part ex's and stuff from scrap yards & do them up, run around for a few months and then resell - Bit of wheeler dealering - wish I had the time and money to still do it.

Company vehicles dont count - thats just because my list would be three times as long.

My long list of cars is from being an ol' fart of a petrol head.
Plus when I was living in the wilds of Scotland there was nothing else to do - No comments about the sheep mind

I wrote my first & only brand new car off in just 81 miles from collecting it from the dealer. It was a 1.6i Ghia Orion and at the time it was the dogs bollocks - I drove round a corner on a country lane and 1/4rd to 1/4rd a cavalier overtaking a tractor on the blind bend.

Never been able to afford a new car since - or probs afraid to buy a new one.

I had a 405 MI-16 as a company car back in 1995 - it was so flamin' quick - or at least I thought it was until I got a shot of one of my co-workers Lancia Delta Integrale - now that was the fastest accelerating car I had ever driven at the time.

Was an excellent car (in my eyes) mate Hadn't been looked after when I got it but I loved it. Had to go in the end, was costing too much - timing belt snapped and cost more than the car was worth to rebuild the head. It was just brilliant fun - started me love for 4WD.

Hey Andy - I once bought a Mk3 Cortina just for the door handles as they were exactly the same part as the Jag XJS door handles and Jaguar wanted £175 each for them - I paid £75 for the Cortina, swapped the handles around, gave it a valet & sold it for £150 with dodgy door handles.
I went for the Orion 1.6i Ghia as it got a lot less attention from the Police than all of my mates XR3i's & cheaper insurance - lot of good that did me though.

Not very interesting list but in me 4.5 years off driving:

51 Rover 25 1.4 16v (crashed into house, repaired, crashed into side of Peugeot, written off)
L Peugeot 106 1.0 (At least I now safely know it would be impossible to ever drive a worse car, 3 full failure sheets with MOT, scrapped)
R Rover 420 diesel (boring car but is was a good motorway cruiser, sold cos of the stick I got for it)
