Im having a lot of crunching while steering tight corners and accelerating hard. Usually happens when turning off a road and im parked still then hard accelerate 90°. Only happened when turning corner, I can feel it through the steering wheel and hear it also. Sounds a little like cogs slipping of some sort.
Could it possibly be the diff winding up or something?
Thanks

Hey Miles, You should have shown me yesterday.
Is it not a CV joint on the way? See what Jonny comes back with the DCCD.

Depending how the DCCD is set, it can stiffen everything up, make wheels skip etc etc. What setting do you have it on?

Without actually hearing it I can't be sure but, even though it pains me to say it, peril could be right, even in auto they tighten up under acceleration.
Try it with the DCCD in the open position, if it doesn't do it then its nothing to worry about.

it will do it on auto but to be honest accelerating hard from a standing start should only be done with wheels straight and def not with 90 degrees of lock on

thanks for the help guys. Ill try it in open and see if it still does it.
Theres a right turn on my way to work that i usually have to stop to wait for traffic. When i set off if i put my foot down the back end comes out. The tarmac is perfect and if it is a moist day even better. Its so hard to resist. This is usually when the noise happens.
Never tried it in open on the DCCD round there - might be a little fun!
