| Not wishing to stir but the title of your post indicates the use of a cheap gasket.Hence it would make a difference to who built it as they used a cheap gasket and not an OEM one or uprated gasket if for a modified application. But your quite correct in the fact that it was indeed the part that failed.Best regards Mal.... | |

| if the heasd werent skimmed that could have been a part of it..
and im pleased were on this as in that case if the engine was built properly that means dougy used cheap head gaskets on the engine i bought from him and gipa as there were absolute shite aswell..

| Technically the thing to do is identify why the head gasket has failed, more often than not its overheating and not a fault of the gasket. Could even be the head hasn't been torqued down correctly | |

| rite well we have found a few items of why it could fail and lets think i never dorve over 3k revs never dorve over .5bar boost and ran it on the best oil and yet the headgasket went only one side whoever fitted this hg is a shit mechanic and also who ever built mine is aswell but u guess we dont need to have too many gueses | |

| not at all as it was on due to a very minor problem ans i never parked on marks drive!!! ya tool i had a very little oil leak from the oil return pipe for less than 1 day as ive told you soo many fookin times you idiot!!! it was fixed after less than 5 miles of driving .. and what the fucks that got anything to do with your idiot mate building a shit engine that went bang after only a few hundred miles and before you open your mouth again i was working away and drove less than 60mph all the way to dundee and back!!!!
facts are youve showed that people can build shit
and cause gasket blowes who bilt that engine then????

Its will have overheated at some point I can see that, but whos to say the head was torqued properly. Believe me I see people buying parts for cars every day and while most of our customers know what they are doing there are too many armchair mechanics out there who don't I've seen a customer at our counter ask for a discount on a head gasket that's been bent in transit, when we said we'd have to order another in he said "it'll be ok it'll tighten down" And Robbo you're right

IF YOU DONT WANT YOUR THREADS TO GO THE SAME AS ALL YOUR THREADS STOP MAKING STUPID COMMENTS ON THEM!!!! dean look we all aware the problems dougie caused for you. personally i wouldnt let dougie put oil on me kids bmx chain. as for philscooby= yes he is a young lad and is wanting to build is own high powered engine. wether it will ever happen is upto him. personally i have nothing against phil or you dean. av always answered the phones to u 2 and advised uz, and bought/sold the odd part t u 2, but this bitching at each other has too stop on "OWA" open forum. OWA= meaning this forum was setup too get away from the nuggets on TTS who choose to run it like a boot camp ?? i personally dont want NESF to go down the same route.

Dougies not even on here so why every post it mentions him , I've washed me hands with him years ago basically cos he's a liability Nd a piss head I done one job with him nd that was supplying an engine never again .
Deano you know exactly wot happened , oil leaks , engine lights etc !!
If this is goin to keep going on just delete my account cos I can't b arsed with my name getting brought into a job Wich I still believe was down to the person who fitted the engine even though dougie has fucked up alot of engines ........
