Subject: Panel filters Wed 28 Sep - 0:01
Looking at getting a panel filter next - always had pipercross viper induction kits on previous cars but it appears induction kits are a no no until big bhp? Currently got a simtek & H&S cat-back
So who recommends what?...And I'm getting it remapped after Xmas should I wait til then to throw it on or will it be fine?

OEM STI filter is as good as any bud.

I would go Cosworth panel filter or STi.
I am running a K&N with no MAF issues.

For what its worth the guys at SG Petch recommended I drop a K&N panel filter in the car after my very first service back in 2005. Its been there ever since and appears to be functioning fine. Just getting round to thinking about cleaning it, even though it apparently doesnt neet it.

Got a piper cross in mine...been in about 15000 miles, fingers crossed, been spot on.
