| went back to hospital today to see the wife and new baby, i purchased a 24 hour ticket as it worked out cheaper, seen the wife then went for dinner, when i went back to hospital for the second time it was snowing and very windy, re used my 24 hour ticket only to return a couple hours later to a parking fine, looked through windscreen and my ticket had gone the wind had blown it off the dash as i shut the door and i didnt realise, the ticket never had a sticky back either, now they want £60 Appeals may be rejected for the following reasons: My ticket fell off the dashboard because it was windy. I was in a rush to pick something/someone up. I was new to the area. I didn’t know it was a permit holder’s area. I didn’t know it was a pay and display car park. I didn’t have any change. I couldn’t see any signs. I was only a few minutes late. My ticket was the wrong way round. I can’t read/I don’t live in the UK. I am a regular customer of the store. so because it was windy and my ticket blew off the dash cos it had no sticky back im goosed | |

| have a look on here, you might find an example similar http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showforum=60my cousin had a problem with a private carpark and received what she thought was a fine, but ppc's can not issue fines or penalties, only council and police and council employed traffic wardens have that authority the chances are if its private you will recieve a pcn (penalty charge notice) a lot of people have been advised to ignore these, they are not a fine as only council car parks are allowed to fine (and police obviously), I told my cousin to not pay for what was said to be ILL PARKING, she thought it was a fine, but after I showed her a couple of sites including martins and the one above, she ignored it and all the letters she recieved, then nothing happened Different situation but if you still had the ticket (if it blew on the seat or in the car) you have evidence of payment, also there are cameras,

| When Dr K kindly ran one of my numerous engines in he frequented various services up & down the A1 which resulted in a number of parking violation tickets dropping through my letterbox. Following advice from the company solicitor these penalty notices & subsequent threats of court were filed safely in the wheelie bin & I never heard from them again lol Solicitor told me only councils & police can issue and enforce parking tickets & so far so good | |

Solicitor told me only councils & police can issue and enforce parking tickets & so far so good this is why i asked my above question, Mt wife works at Durham Hospital and her mate got hounded by debt collectors for the debt!!! in the end her union got inlolve and all was dropped! Same again we in a personal experience had the same issue of the ticket falling off and got a ticket, i simply ignored it and have not had any word at all! that was in October !!! We were parked on the bit of land that had been turned into a car park! | |
