Having trouble arming the alarm,have to be close to the car and press the button for a while,guess its the battery,any ideas what type and will the key need reprogramming?

Mine went last year. Take a little screwdriver to the fob and flip the old battery out. You can get replacements just about any supermarket. Drop the new one in, screw it back together and away you go. Mine didnt need any reprograming, worked straight away and I can now operate the alarm from a good 5 ft away.........bloody clever anti snooping subaru security systems Laughing

i'v having the same sort of problem with my bug, i got one of those sigma alarms
i changed the battery but it didnt last very long Sad
