No, diesels are fuel controlled, if you want more power get a tuning box on it.

doh...done that when i turn the box right up i get plenty of omph but black soot out of the arse end....

Yes that's what happened on my mondeo tdci st I used to have when I put a tuning box on it, it had loads more power though and seemed to do no harm.

if them box's are set right you can get good gains with them! i hav heard of people putting a bleed valve on to up the boost to match the inceased fuel! wether its a good idea or not i dont know lol

The box I have is a dtuk UK one its ment to be able to take it form 150 bhp as standard up to 190 bhp.....

DTUK are a client of mine and I can vouch for their systems. I retail them through the CarKandy Performance side of the business. Every diesel I have ever owned has run one of their systems, the Audi has one on now and the Golf is getting one on this week

Worth mentioning too that the BMW systems go to the boost sensor as well as the fuelling and adjust both
