| I'm Louis from Billingham and I've had my Impreza for about 6 months. I'm already on Scoobynet so I thought I would make a post on a local forum as I've seen quite a few nice looking scoobies out and about. You might of seen me around Hartlepool, Boro, Stockton etc. I started off with a Saxo VTR (not chavved up - standard) to build my no claims and moved on to 05 WRX when I had some spare funds. After being the passenger in mates classic I knew which car to go for next. (his thread - link). Here we go then. Sorry about pics in advance, all from my phone and I can't take a decent pic at all. The Saxo... How she looked when I first got her - minus the exhaust (It was completely standard except rear tints and STI spoiler). After a good wash and rear tints removed (shoddy job who ever done them previously). Removed WRX and Blitz badge the previous owner had on Next was a delivery from Godspeed Next the calipers were looking really faded and chipped. So I cleaned them up a bit with a fresh coat of paint. They look really good in the flesh, but in the pic look a bit bumpy and orange. How she stands at the moment (minus the scratch on front bumper). I managed to find cheap set of Turini's and fitted some wind deflectors + front splitter. Unfortunately I now have it parked up for the winter and a dirty diesel to get me around till next year. While it's parked up I'm going to be adding a few things and getting it ready for a map. To-do list: - Just got new grille fitted (forgot to take a pic) and lower Zunsport to fit. - Coilovers (heard BC's are good for newages?) - Find a STI front bumper with winglets and fog covers. - De-tango and spray headlights. Don't fancy doing it too soon as I probably won't re-seal it right. That's it for now | |

| Welcome to the forum buddy. Very nice Scoob
BC coilovers are very popular, but as an alternative also have a look at the Racing Logic ones - they get really good feedback from owners too.

| Thanks for all the comments everyone. At the moment I'm just focusing on handling and looks for now. Will eventually want more power, but not till start of next year.
@ Jonny Gav - I read his breaking thread titled bug eye sti, I'll send him a pm anyways.
@ Marietto - I did see the racing logic on scoobyclinic but read they are a bit harsh for daily use? I'm mainly going for fast road setup but not to harsh for every day driving.

| Thought I would bump this with some stuff I've done recently. Now sharing a unit with mousey off here in Hartlepool so our cars have been off road over winter. We both been getting them ready for this year and NBO which we missed last year due to no insurance Things done over the winter. - Bought a VF35 and pink injectors off here. Which will be on in a month or so for mapping. - Fog covers - Grilles - Bootlid and lip spoiler (STI spoiler what was on was badly painted, so fancied a change). - Centre console sprayed and JDM hazzard PicturesGood wash today after collecting dust for the last 2 months. Front with fog covers and grilles Side shot Centre console with red hazzard Things to do:- I have some tein lowering springs but not 100% sure whether to fit them. Heard mixed reviews. Opinions? - Need both decat pipes (down and centre) to finish my selection of mods before a remap. - Speedlines need a refurb - thinking gloss black. Anyone heard of prestige in Hartlepool? My unit is over the road. - Double din unit | |

| Cheers everyone. Trying to get it sorted before summer events. Mainly NBO. Progress last few weeks: - Bought some BC coilovers for cheap - will be getting fitted sometime next month by sideways dan along with 4 wheel alignment - bonnet dampers fitted - Speedlines refurb in anthracite and vredestein sessantas all around - STI scoop fitted - Parts collected for fitting and mapping; vf35, decat pipes, fuel pump, injectors, spark plugs, sti top mount and undertray pics (more to come when the rain stops): ps: wheels done by Romax in Stockton, definitely recommend for anyone looking. | |

Hi oggy, yeah he told me you were on here, it's that car what made me want to buy a subaru in the end We'll have to go for a run sometime all 3 of us, get some pics or something. That's if he pulls his finger out and gets it back on the road hehe
