| Anything is an improvement over the standard speakers, they are only there to fill the holes, and they only just manage that . Most new HU will give you 50W per channel, which will give you an impressive sound versus the standard kit. But if you can do it all in one go, try to pick up a basic amp and spend money on decent speakers and interconnects, it really is worth the money. See below for some non bank breaking options that took me all of 30 seconds to find : http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/phonocar-ph4400.htmlhttp://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/hel-b52c-helix-blue-b52c.html | |

| Fronts are indeed 6.5". The OEM speakers are as thin as After Eight mints, so you need to knock up some spacers to fit the aftermarket ones. It's very easy, you'll need a jigsaw and some 10-12mm mdf. Alternatively you can buy plastic spacers, loads on fleabay, I just found making my own more satisfying. As for adapters they are all standard with ISO plugs specific for Subaru to any aftermarket brand, kenwood/jvc/panasonic etc. For example. http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/install-adaptors-subaru-impreza/ | |

| Daz, I'm just thinking I may have the adapter lead from my Blob lying around. I dropped the OEM head unit back in just before I traded the car but cant remember if the adapter was in place or not. I cant promise anything, but let me have a look in the garage tonight and I might be able to save you a few quid. | |
