a couple of jobs to do Empty
PostSubject: a couple of jobs to do   a couple of jobs to do EmptyTue 7 May - 20:16

well I thought while the sun is out I would do a couple of jobs on the car ,starting with the front brakes I needed some new pads so I thought before I fitted them I would clean and paint the callipers , but first I had to deal with a couple of stuck pistons ,

and after a coat of paint
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

I also have to do the rear ARB bushes so again I thought while I was doing it I might as well clean and paint ,I was given a ARB off a very nice man called John H it cleaned up very well ,
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

and now painted and new poly bushes will be going on this week ,

hope the sun keeps up Very Happy Very Happy

That's a fine job you've done with the anti roll bar Oggy . Surprised

Leeandjude ,
It's not too difficult to take off the anti-roll bar . It's more fiddly to replace as the last drop link bolt hole never quite seem to line up . As the car should be on axle stands it's possible to use the jack to persuade the anti-roll bar into the right position . Rolling Eyes

Thanks for that john, well its time to fit anti roll bar so off came the old one ,

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

the drop links were in a very sorry state no wonder its been knocking ,
and the new one fitted ,

your very right about the last hole John but I just left all bolts slack till all in and also I never jacked it up I was told its best to do it with the wheels on the ground ,but its a very easy job but can be bit fiddly at times on your own Very Happy

When I fitted mine Oggy I bent that metal surround upwards a little bit as the gear mechanism seemed to be catching it in certain gears. I don't know if it's the same for you?

I'll second that... mine did it. But I think I just turned it around so the cut out bit was in the bottom right corner instead of top left, if that makes sense
