First proper clean of the year!

Cleaned it yesterday clay bar the lot, a full day cleaning!  
Then had to move it off the drive to avoid scratches from the kids scooters!       






But on the plus side i had a nice view whilst enjoying a beer in the sun this afternoon!       

Might be a stupid question but how do you use clay bar? Is it a case of rubbing it about? Heard of it but its something that aint appealed to me lol.

First time i used it as well mate. Basically i washed the car normally, jet wash ,shampoo and lambswool mit, then rinsed, then one panel at a time i went over the car rubbing it with the clay bar using a hand spray gun to lubricate the panel and folding the clay bar regular, after i finished each panel i  shampooed and rinsed the panel again to remove the residue of the clay. When the car was complete i polished and glossed the car! 

Hard long work mate! but you wouldn't believe what comes off an already clean car with the clay bar! won't be doing it again for a while unless i want a divorce!  

It's good to do it every once in a while. It removes all the contaminants that get bonded to the paintwork that normal washing won't remove. You know you have done a good job if the paint feels like a sheet of glass if you drag your finger along it. Nice work mate
