IF you have no history or don't know it's been done, get it changed!!!

Reason why -

This leads to the inevitable of valves clattering pistons. This results in this -

Forgot how much of a pain it is to lap in new valves by hand. Prefer hand lapping as opposed to drills as it's less 'brutal' -

This is an 8 valve engine but though i would post it up as some people may be intrigued by the pictures and results of a snapped belt!!

pullys stick had a lad round the other week with a noisy "water pump" on his scooby found one of the pullys had lost its bearing and was rolling round on the bolt that goes threw the pully thing never jumped a tooth told him to get lottery on!

My wagon done the same Andy and was like that a week before i managed to book it in. Was lucky like.

The joys of lapping in valves by hand, I've done it to many a rover v8 lol, by hand is the best way tho and worth the odd blister on the palms lol Wink
