V5 sti short block fit ej25

As title says guys been offered a cheap v5 sti forged short block need to know if this will fit my ej25? Crank shaft bearing gone but all in perfect condition apart from bearing was going to rebuild all crank bearings etc

Isn't a v5 a 2litre and yours is 2.5?

You will need the whole long block I believe

No good then as its just the small block, i was only going to buy it for thw forges pistons and rods as it was CHEAP, but no worries

I might be wrong but a 2.0 block and 2.5 heads and stuff is a no go.

A bog standard closed deck block goes for £400+
So if its forged and a CDB aswel your quids in lad

Its obd mate and forged piston and rods

has your crank gone on your hark? what millage ? seems a bit early

No andy, just this v5 short block had forged pistons and rods and only needed crank shaft bearing replaced, was thinking of buying it an having it in my motor to save few hundred quid on my forged kit which compromises of mahle 99.75 oversized pistons brideway rods with arp rod bolts main bearing and crank racing acl bearings for £899, but ive already ordered it for when fairlure occurs

ahhh i see so ya stuck with a 2 litre forged bottom end from a version 5? what price ya looking at for it as i know some one who was about to get one made
