Subject: bugeye gearbox Thu 2 Sep - 12:17
need a little help what to do with it yesterday i couldn't use my first gear anymore... had a little zooming sound when i left home and about min later after stopping for a red light i couldn't shift it in first so what is the best thing to do?? 6 speed or a second hand rebuild gearbox?? like i said 2002 bugeye wrx

Think you need to bottom out the issue first bud, might just be a simple fix.

i hope so to m8 it looks like the rs might be going if it needs replacing never had a problem with the scooby only one thing rear diff had a leak and now this i just replaced the gearbox oil to so it's nothing with that and the old oil was clean no bits of metal rso in it

lets hope so what should i do to try and fix it?? new gearbox oil??

not an expert wait till the tech guys r on andy k, drew ,finn, or jonny gav if you replaced the oil cant see that been the problem sounds like a synchro could be goosed then the synchro will need replacing one off the tech guys will advise you better bud.
