Hi,

Thinking of doing a bit more detailing in my engine bay & want to paint my alternator, possibly black/red.

What type of paint should I use?

Would I have to use UHT paint, or would normal paint suffice, as I know most UHT paint only comes in a matt finish which I don't want.

hammerite smooth in spray of tin can take the heat and is good and shiny

Just done mine normal aerosol paints ok

As ^^^^^^ just make use to use an etch primer to get a good key.
