Knocklink - Gauging Interest

Hello,

I have the chance of getting some Knocklink 'type' units 'similar' in design and operation to the one below professionally made up for a very good price compared to the origional ones.

Price would be in the region of £25 - £35 depending on interest. Not sure how much the Knocklinks were new but they are going for around £75-£100 on various websites.

Could anyone who might be interested in one post up here so I can get an idea if it would be worth doing or not?

IMO these type ov knocklinks are the best ones to have.

+ am sure alot ov other forums will be intrested in these if they are good ones.

Me brother (the non-scooby owning one ) is changing a couple of things on my Knocklink and suggested it would be simple to make some up. (Then fell on his arse laughing when I told him how much they cost ) He's project manager (I think) for an international semi conductor / micro electronics company and will get one of his techs to build two or three for testing and evaluation. Knowing Kev and where he works the quallity and components used will be spot on. First prototype will probs be on verra board with the rest being etched onto PCB when he's happy it's right. Looking at 3 to 4 weeks for the first few (he's off to the far east for a week) so he'll get them sorted when he gets back. I'll keep the thread updated with his progress.

What frequency is it going to be tuned to?

I cant find a Bosch knock sensor for under £45 so it is truly a bargain, or is it £25 to £35 not including the knock sensor?

He is right about the component prices for making one up, I could probably make one up out of the crap I have lying in my bottom draw at work
