Anybody else stupid or just me ?

Decided to wash the car today. Took 6 buckets of warm water to just relieve it of some of the ice that was deposited in Spenny on Thursday and was still frozen to the poor sod. Then 3 x 2 bucket method of quite warm meggy soaped water, but still kept freezing up before I could get the waffle on it to dry the bugger. Annoyingly I managed to take several chunks out of the paintwork on the spoiler with over enthusiastic attacks on stubborn ice, what a twat.

Stuck the car back in the garage, relatively clean and under a slightly thinner layer of ice and went in for a few cups of tea, only to come out and find the entire drive a bloody ice rink. Must have fallen on my arse 5 or 6 times whilst hacking away at it and putting salt down to try and break it up. Then the Mrs came back from Sainsbury,slipped on it and cracked me across the heed with a bag of shopping.

Anyway, about 7pm she asks me to nip out and grab a take away, so I get wrapped up, wander out the door and promptly fall flat on my face in front of the neighbours, slipping on a rogue patch of ice that I hadnt attacked.

So I now sitting here with an ice pack on my wrist, a bump on my noggin from the can of whatever that caught me thru her shopping back, a sore arse bone and a poor car under ice with chunks knocked out of it.

I ask again - are there any other silly cnuts out there........or is it just me ?

Oh my goodness - Vodka & Coke now promptly sprayed across my laptop screen.

Thanks, just the exact reason why I never washed mine today.

I don't mean to laugh at your miss-fortune but LOL!!

We had about 8" of snow overnight so I promptly got the lot off the car and the drive before it has chance to freeze as it took me 2 hours last week to clear the compact ice!

i'm off work today cos its too cold and was gonna give the car a good wash on the drive.

but fook it, sounds too dangerous to tackle in this weather so i think i'll wait until this weather breaks!! (about march/april!!)

I havent washed my car for 9 months - much easier!
