A girl managed to drive into my yesterday whilst I was stationary in the road waiting to turn...don't ask me how she didn't see a bright blue scoob with brake lights on and indicators flashing but below is the result :-(
She was able to drive off after exchanging details but it took 3 hours to get my car recovered as the steering arm is goosed.
Gutted doesn't even come close to how I'm feeling.

you might want to prepare a claim to the recovery company too for a new centre diff! Being 4wd, scoobs have to be either towed or recovered on a flatbed. They should never have recovered it like that!!!
Sorry to hear the bad news anyway bud, hopefully insurance wont take too long to come and assess and pay out for the damage

Right I'll be on to my insurance company to make sure the diff is checked for damage. It couldn't be towed because the front wheels were toed in over because of the bent steering arm but fook me if he's caused any damage I won't be happy!

I'm with Admiral, I'm also due for a renewal on 24th of Feb so have been getting quotes all week!
Car is being collected today so hopefully I won't be without it for too long (well if the steering rack & diff aren't knackered!)
I thought if I was ever gonna have an accident it would be cos I was giving it too much on a back road and not whilst being stationary outside a school!

I've spoken to the recovery manager who is willing to inspect the diff once the other repairs are sorted and if necessary will cover any replacement. How honest the inspection will be remains to be seen!

I first though you meant she rear ended you, how has she managed that obviously concentration on something other than driving. Could have been worse though least the airbags didn't go off, sure way of a broken nose.

Aye it was a flat bed but because the steering arm was bent both wheels were facing in over and he reckoned he wouldn't be able to get it off once he'd winched it on!
You'd assume these people who do it for a living would know what they're on about but that obviously isn't the case!

I'd get someting in writing mate as there could be damage to the diff that might not show up immediatley. And as said thats f**kin shocking the driver of the recovery truck did it

Can anybody identify the make of my alloy wheels please? May need to replace front drivers side if romax can't sort it.
Cheers

Roger, there more likely to be a replica but had the garage asking what they were as one looks fooked!
Hopefully the repairs are underway and despite having a nice 60 plate BMW 330d to use I just want my car back!

Popped in to the garage the other day to see what progress had been made, which was actually very little. I saw the bill for parts only which was just shy of £2500!!
The garage had it across to John Pye to test the diff and guess what, it's fucked so Ron Perry's are having to sort me a replacement (yet more of a delay)
The insurance company are replacing the drivers side wheel but I've gotta foot the bill to get it done in white and they will only put a standard bumper back on....all this despite informing them of the visible mods when I took out the policy.
In short it's gonna cost me another £279 to get an STI style lower bumper so it looks similar to before

They stated I should have had some extra bit added to my policy for like for like and needless to say this wasn't offered or mentioned when I told the fuckers, might as well have told them jack shit and saved money on my premium...knobs!
