air con on a forester

as above mine not working checked relay under the bon and fuse under dash all seem ok but when switch it on i cant here the fan or pump kick in anyone have any ideas why ????

will it still kick in if there is no gas in it as just pushed the refill valve in and no gas came out ???

then you'll need to get it checked for leaks and refill it i guess

Get it across to Drew and he can check for you.

Check that the Aircon pump is plugged into the loom - some people disconnect them.

as kushbexs said, drew is the lad for air con.
he got all the gear too regas them, if ya pump is knackered and drew hasnt got one gis a shout mate

most systems have a pressure switch that stops the cmpressor coming in if the is no gas it the system. The gas circulates the oil around the system that keeps everything working properly hence no gas the compressor in inhibited so as not to cause any damage.

If you pressed the valve in and there was no gas coming out the systen is empty might need a regas.

The worst thing for air con is not being used the seals dry out and the gas leaks past them. so even in winter get the ac cranked up now and again to keep the system working, plus the ac is the best way to clear a misted up windscreen
