Things go from bad to worse.

We me temp engine i was going to use whilst re-building the fooked one, was more temperary than i planned... 27miles to be precise.
Had quite frequent action on the knocklink when i first drove it home (nowt above 5k), sent me injectors off to be cleaned & flow tested & got them back today, so took the car out for a nice drive with the wife, daughter & grand daughter. On the 1231 @ 65 the knocklink went bersrk, so pulled over couldn't find out wrong, started the car up 15psi on idle, nursed it home 45psi on the move, rattling its tits off if you hold it at 2-3000rpm in 2nd, but goes when idling.
Think the bottom end has gone . Anyone agree?
Thinking of busting it now, as i'm at the end of me tether with the twat. shiney bits might be up for sale soon.

My goodness sounds like the big end bearings - hope that engine actualy had bearings in.

I noticed on the other forum that Alyn is back now - have you had any luck about that missing bearing on your rebuilt engine?

Chuffin nora, you aint had much luck fella! Hope you happy either route you go. But Ive just got rid since losing a stack of work, and I'm gutted to the point of having a lump in my throat when it drove off. Just bear with it, once its done, you will be buzzin when its running right!

Ture having no luck at the min, thought about busting it last time it went pop, but couldn't do it as i've had it for nearly 7yrs. gonna think about it over a few Stellas but in the back of me mind i think i know what the final outcome will be.

I wouldn't bust it mate, I know how you'll be feeling, but you'll begutted once is busted unless you can find a nice one already done.

i know how you feel Mines in the garage in a million pieces and ive thought bout breaking it a couple times but the time and the money ive put in to mine i just cant do it, so its coming back bigger and better and a hell of a lot quicker
