After two burnt pistons (deternation) x2 engine builds. Ive just had another engine built.
Ive been informed i could have a fuel problem ??
Will a remap solve this problem...
can anyone help with some advice, its a 1996 Mcrae, classic.

could be det but most likely it running lean, is it pistons 2 + 4 going down first?various reasons why this is happening, imo totally pointless fixing it without also identifying and sorting the problem, faulty maf, fuel pump excessive boost is the most common on V1/2 cars, ur ecu as it stands cant be re mapped, but with the right equipment it can be correctly checked for fueling, det etc

Hi andy, thanks for the reply.
Its the same piston, as you look into the engine bay its the back right one.
Can the ecu be chiped and is this good or bad ?.
also do you know any one who can do this SAFELY...
Iam not going to start the engine untill its been checked.
