| Boost, oil pressure guages etc, are they a must whilst tuning??? | |

| reason being phil i've got a snap on ethos diagnostics machine which will monitor everthing possible which connects via obd, just my way of thinking is if my cars mapped in the future with the mods im going for everything will be set whilst its mapped and saved in the ecu, does it constantly have to be moniterd or can i get away with just checking it now and then? or better to be safe that sorry and have permenant monitors in place? | |

| You can pick a set of decent gauges up for less than £200 nowadays bud. Look at it this way, if your oil pressure dropped or spiked while you were giving the car some beans would you know? Simple mod IMO. | |

| Like Phil said, they are worth every penny the one time they warn you that something has gone wrong. It's a bit late plugging your Ethos is AFTER your engines let go!
Also, oil temp is a must for ANY impreza - It's the only way you know when it's safe to give it some beans!!! | |

| owen look at it this way when i changed my turbo exh and tmic i didnt have a boost gauge fitted ..the car was unreal loadsa power and went like foook.then i fitted a boost gauge turns out it was running 1.4 bar boost if i hadnt fit the gauge i could av been costly ..so i would say its a must | |

ya snap on cant measure oil temp or oil pressure, two main things | |

| ok ok! al stop being tight and get some guages lol, are there no standard sender units for oil pressure and temp andy? i presumed there would be? but presumtion has be known to be the mother of all fcuk ups | |
