I would say yes TBH. Although you spend more time looking at them than you do the road. Laughing

reason being phil i've got a snap on ethos diagnostics machine which will monitor everthing possible which connects via obd, just my way of thinking is if my cars mapped in the future with the mods im going for everything will be set whilst its mapped and saved in the ecu, does it constantly have to be moniterd or can i get away with just checking it now and then? or better to be safe that sorry and have permenant monitors in place?

You can pick a set of decent gauges up for less than £200 nowadays bud. Look at it this way, if your oil pressure dropped or spiked while you were giving the car some beans would you know? Simple mod IMO.

Like Phil said, they are worth every penny the one time they warn you that something has gone wrong. It's a bit late plugging your Ethos is AFTER your engines let go!

Also, oil temp is a must for ANY impreza - It's the only way you know when it's safe to give it some beans!!!
