Got my eye on a motor thats been on top gear does the fact that its been on the telly push the price up or does it add to the appeal Any thoughts anyone

Would depend on the motor!! If your looking at top gears reasonably priced car then prob not!! or a red Toyota hilux

IMO if you are asking the question then the answer is no. If you are uncertain that it has additional worth now then you will be just as uncertain when you come to sell it and probably end up getting normal money for it rather than the potential premium being charged for it now

I think if wrxsti350 was still logging on he'd probably tell you for certain, IIRC his was an ex Top Gear car which he had for some time and sold before Xmas. Not sure what he got for it, but I dont think the Top Gear provenance counts for much in resale. My car was used in a feature film and featured in Total Impreza but I dont expect thats going to make a toss of odds when I sell it (complete with DVD and magazine copy), it will more likely get broken. Unless its something out of this world and a real collectors item, I think you can expect market value at best, if you can find a buyer at the time that is.
