The price of fuel has gone up by nearly half as much in the last 3 years! I was looking on Google Earth last week and noticed that my local petrol station was selling fuel at less than a pound and the images were taken in approx March 2009. I think it has rose more in the last few years than it ever has with the Government getting up to 90% of the money made from it. It's pretty shit I think, how they see the car driver as an easy target for getting money from but what can you do? Most people need their cars to live. I'd like to see a protest like they did in 2000 but a lot of people can't be arsed and see it as just part of worldwide inflation or something. And I even heard they were thinking of privatising roads now so that you would get a continental toll booth style system! Bloody hell, don't I pay enough road tax already? I suppose the answer would be to just get a smaller car or even stop driving lol But I know that's never going to happen, I love my Subaru's too much.
