Possible sigma alarm problem? Empty
PostSubject: Possible sigma alarm problem?   Possible sigma alarm problem? EmptySat 24 Mar - 19:17

Having a bit of an issue with the sigma alarm on my my03 sport, the issue is intermittent, what it will do is when you go to set the alarm and lock the doors the doors won't lock and the alarm will go off, if you get in the car all of the dash lights and Even the odometer is out as if the car has lost all power, then you hear a relay click and it all comes back on, after this happens you loose all radio presets and the trip resets as if the battery has been disconnected, it never looses power when driving, only when the alarm is activated but only sometimes.

Anyone any ideas?

Anyone know if the alarm can be disabled and the central locking still used on the fob.

At first I though it may have been a unusual signal from the fob causing it so I have replaced the battery, I have also checked grounds and battery terminals but it's still the same.

Anyone help?

think it was summit to do with head unit, a wire was shorting out, does ur central locking wok with just the key, have u checked all fuses Smile

I know you lads don't use Scabbynet much but Sigma Sam on there (if he still is) is a master on these systems.

will pull the head unit out tomorrow and see if that helps, the head unit electrics were eclipsed when I got it, it may well be that.

never tried it with just the key, will give that a shot tomorrow too,

As for fuses, everything works when the car is running.

Not convinced its the alarm system now but after I check the things Andy has suggested I will put a post up over there if I get stuck.

Went to set alarm and the CL didn't work and the alarm went off, the CL works with the key but it didn't with the key.

Anyone know anyone that will remove it for me?
