| Just did the snorkus mod on my 03 STi because I can't hear the turbo spool. Must say I am very disappointed it has made very little to no difference at all. So I'm looking at getting a proper induction kit. I want as much turbo noise as possible without risking damage to the MAF. What would the the best choice with a budget of around £250:.

| Was advised by a friend of mine to stay well clear of K&N because they are too oily and are bad news for MAF sensors... | |

| It's worth doing if you want a little bit of turbo noise. If you want a lot of turbo noise you need to ditch the box filter. I can hear my turbo spooling up slightly with the Windows up only. I imagine my high flow panel filter would create more noise than a standard item. It is a very simple mod to do so I reccomended trying it out... | |

| I've got one of these fitted: http://www.kstech.biz/servlet/the-83/StockMAF-65mm-Cold-Air/DetailWing mounted, original intake remains in place and still diverts air into cone.. Sounds the dogs, I love it. The car defo isn't any slower and power comes in exactly the same maybe spools up a tad quicker.. Comes recommended by Duncan from Dynamix too.... Apparently.. | |

| I had 2 different filter on my sti to start with, first was one of those cheap cold air induction kits of ebay which you could hear the wastegate chatter through very clearly, then went to an apexi induction kit which was a little better, only really noticed the turbo spooling up when i changed the down pipe to a decat, which you could really hear everything working together, but the car started over boosting and the engine management light straight on due to the lamba reading incorrectly. my advice would be wait a few weeks get yourself a decat downpipe (if you dont have one already) get yourself a decent induction kit and get yourself a remap m8, then everything falls into place. the turbo i have on mine is awersome with it having a bb core on tick over its loud as hell spooling | |

| Not sure about the downpipe. I had a look thru the history and seen it has had a scooby clinic stage 1 performance pack and either upgraded up or down pipe.. So think I will get an apexi or hks induction then get it mapped.. Also want a hks ssqv | |

| Well I'm presuming and stage 1 performance pack would be a full exhaust, induction kit and a remap ya best looking into that m8 | |
