Little rattle coming from engine

Last night on my way home from work I noticed a rattle coming from the engine but it disappears when the clutch is dipped.... The car has just had a brand new clutch fitted. Can any 1 help?

Take the fooker back to whoever fitted the brand new clutch and ask him why the release bearing is fooked..

phoned the garage yesterday about the thrust bearing... they want to charge me for the work saying its additional, ive just paid 225 for the clutch to get done. Im not happy at all.

What did they replace? Nearly all clutch kits come 3 piece, friction plate, pressure plate, release bearing. Surely parts warrenty ?

£115 it must be a cheap poss recon clutch for that price ya get wot ya pay for but it shud last longer than it has

To be honest I'm just looking to be pointed in the right direction to get the car sorted and to stop sounding like a rattle lol. The rear wheel bearing has gone I'm just fed up with it at the minute. The scoops flapping around off the hood the boots leaking and filling with water. I've always wanted a scooby but this car is getting on my nerves.

I think it's age and stuff like that don't help it's not a young pup anymore your going to get problems I have had problems and mines a 05 but still 7 year old !!!!

oh i know its just when they all come at once and you have no money spare and christmas is around the corner... i think i have found the leak in the boot its coming from the spoiler holes think its just new washes or something to replace.

I would suggest youring them and ask them what they offer in the way to sort this problem out as it's surely parts warrenty regardless if the clutch is a cheap recon item or gold plated. If they are leaving you high and dry then mention the word trading standards and the newspaper's and see what they then say,

After that, dont fall out of love, just get the pennies together and send it to some-one who actually values your car/money/buisness and will look after you and the car, plenty people on here to do that.

The rear bearing - dont buy cheap cheap parts, an ADL blueprint item will be sensibly priced and good quality.
The wtaer leak - could be the rear light cluster seals rather than spoiler, worth getting the rear seats out or someone to sit in the boot with torch and use a hose to water test the car and pin point leak.

i only think its the spoiler because i felt the hole where they fixed in and its soaking wet but ill do that with the torch to see if it is coming in anywhere else...

with the rear bearing i was just going to go to kns in Peterlee on Friday and get one but ill ask for the ADL you mentioned.

you dont happen to know who can change tyres do you? i have got some tyres off anth mac on here to change my rear tyres because the back are for some reason are smaller than the front, ive got normal on the front and low profile on the back... was like that when i bought it. went to a tyre place on essington tway in peterlee he wont change them because he hasnt supplied them... tight arse bastard lol

I would water test it just incase, maybe just them holes you saw.

Most tyre places wont swap over tyre's that they havent supplied, i could swap all 4 tyres over for you on the 17th (Sat) Pm'd.
