just went for a drive in the sti and when on boost there is a lot of blue smoke
what can cause that??
still drives good

i'd loosen the headers off enough to see the ex ports & you be able to see any oil residue, fingers crossed for you

Hope its the blower , it an easyer fix but, seal kits are v cheap, & pretty straight forward to do your self.

took the headers off and found oil in the exhaust ports
so i guess it's the turbo then?

Oil coming out of the ports of the heads , i'd say thats not the blower bud. Don't sound good,

before you jump straight in for the engine, its not something more simple like an overfill of oil ?

check for play on the turbo first before you do anything else

don't think so as with the scooby I always get the car level and fill it up very carefull
and i've checkend and it was under the max level but above the middle of the max/min levels (if it makes any sence lol )

Surley if the oil was comong from the turbo & leaking into the up pipe like mine did, it wouldn't make it travel 3 foot & through a 90deg bend then travel upwards into the exhaust ports of the heads. Which port or ports was the oil visible noticible Keefer ?.

My old Black sti turned out to be valve stem oil seal on no 2 , after checking with Drews borescope. I hope you get to the bottom of it bud, but as said it a physical impossibilty for an oil leak form a turbo seal to get back up the passenger(to you) exhaust port.
