Classic running problems

Hi then I start car the rev bounces between 0 and 1 trying to stall si if you tap throttle it suts at 1000 rpm but then dops and bounces and when slowing down try's to cut out anyone no what I can look at ?

Try cleaning the Idle control valve

Mate does if have to be removed and cleaned is there gasket

No mate not till mapped day on stand ecu mate
