| Finally got my new boost gauge plumbed in, and all is working fine. I also got the oil pressure gauge wired in and here is where it all goes wrong.
When the engine is cold it reads about 6 bar on idle goes up to about 7 when driving (this is the highest number on the gauge) as the oil warms it drops to about 2.5 on idle and as soon as the revs are increased it goes to about 6bar.
When letting of the revs it first drops to 5bar then eventually falls back to 2.5 but its very juddery it doesn't drop smoothly.
When i had my old mechanical gauge in the readings weren't so erratic.
Does this sound like it's reading right. What should the pressures be? The gauges are prosport stepper series.

| That sounds about right mate, a lot of electronic gauges do this, nothing to worry about.
now you know what its reading you will be able to watch for changes, if you find it drops to 2.2 bar at idle when hot you know it is a good indicator that you are due an oil change etc... | |

| One thing i forgot to mention since fitting the pressure sensor using the usual fitting kit the oil pressure light does not work which is fair enough as the fittings are brass, but i did think that when i put the earth on the sensor this would sort this problem but it hasn't.
