Subject: Boost problems Tue 22 Apr - 13:59
Hi Guys, I've open my boost the other day and from 3rd to 5th around 5rpm it stopped and then came on again, just for a second, has anyone got any ideas Cheers in advance

Sounds like fuel cut. Have you modified the car at all without a remap?

Too much turbo boost is the cause of it, the ECU is cutting the fuel when the boost pressure is too high.
You still running that switchable chipped ECU? If so what setting is it on?

Yes I am, its on the 1.1 bar, just seems to cut out for a quick second like it has a limiter on it

Yeah, you are hitting the fuel cut limiter, try it on the lower boost setting, if it doesn't do it on that then you need to lower the boost pressure on high boost to 1.0 bar.
You can do that by adjusting the waste gate actuator arm on the turbo.

I've just changed my switch over and it's boosting perfect now, I don't think I changed it back from when you were at mine that time, so I've been using the 0.6 boost instead of the 1.1 Thanks for all the help
