| Since buying my car it has boosted at 1.2 but last weekend after not driving it for a week i noticed its boost is all over the place on the a19 on the way home from nbo i put my foot down. The boost shot up to 0.92 then went to 1 bar back down to .95 then .98 etc etc can anyone advise on this matter?

| Could well be spark plugs. If it was left idling before you switched it off the time before you left it for a week, the plugs could have been a bit wet when you turned it off. That would be enough to damage the electrode. | |

Correct me if im wrong but wouldnt dodgie plugs cause the car to run very poor? The car actually doesnt feel any different under normal driving just when i put my foot down, it has no hesitation no lumpy idling or anything.

| Plugs can be fine under normal driving and give problems under load even more so on turbo cars as it's much harder for the spark to jump the gap in a cylinder full of boost pressure. | |

| Like Dave said, when your just plodding around your not asking much from your plugs, so if they're only slightly damaged you wouldnt notice. But under full load, if they're not sparking at 100% the air pressure will blow the spark out, hence the hesitation & low boost.
Id say Im 98% sure its plugs!

| Yeah, your right Mick. You need to step up to 7's when running a moderately modified car with high boost.
The plug gap is also crucial depending on your modofications

| Thanks to mark (maxboost) for changing the plugs, at first the car seemed better round the streets but upon my journey to work the boost problem is still occuring.
Does anyone else know of anything to try before i burn it?

| Bummer bud, deffo thought the hole in the intercooler pipe on the cold side was the issue. Did you try another BOV' like i sugetsed as it could be leaking under pressure. Did the error codes you cleared come back ?. If not you have a few things to investigate before getting the matches out. | |
