| I have a brand new set of C-West fog covers winging it's way to me as we speak from good old USA, so that they can fit the original C-West bumper. I will fit these along with some new original STI fog cover decals. I have also just had a new red Samco Sport silicone airbox hose, a new red silicone turbo induction hose, upgraded Nismo injectors, HRC HF340 fuel pump & 3 port boost solenoid fitted. The car is then beinmg mapped by Bob Rawle, with Thin Diesel at the wheel on Thursday this week. I expect the car to make the 350bhp mark. Once it has been remapped and the parts I have ordered are fitted, this car will be put up for sale. |

| Shame but not a surprise, you never struck me as loving it. Hope you get sorted mate, I know what it feels like to have something you not convinced by. Thankfully me and Hatchy are best mates now and I'm sure you'll find something to your liking.....or something you can make to your liking | |

| Well got my graph back from Bob Rawle from the remap day on 22nd July. Results were 340 BHP & 393 lb/ft torque. Bob said that the BHP figure was being strangled by the ebay special tubular headers that were on the car and that was why it ran out of steam so quickly around 5000 rpm. He said to change those headers and there is easily another 20-25BHP in there no problem. So the good Dr Kindon is currently porting and wrapping a nice set of standard STI headers & up-pipe for me as we speak. I am well chuffed with those torque figures though!! 393 lb/ft is an awesome amount of torque for my little Type R So the sale of the Type R is postponed until I get the map tweak and I get to drive it myself....it just might change my mind [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

| Great stuff Mario that's plenty of torque for any classic never mind a super lightweight type r I could always pop round for a comparison test drive seen as tho I drove it before the map I may as well | |

| Going to stiffen the arse of the car up today with a 22mm Whiteline adjustable Rear ARB & Whiteline Heavy Duty Solid Droplinks. Replacing the front droplinks with some new heavy duty ones as well and then getting a 4 wheel alignment & tracking done. Got 4 brand new Uniroyal Rainsport 3s fitted to replace the Chinese plastic ditchfinders that were on there and a new set of front drilled & grooved disks & OMP fast road pads. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Going over to the Yorkshire Big Breakfast on Sunday morning over the North Yorkshire Moors so will have the chance to test the handling upgrades out a bit Just a couple more pics recently taken with the new correct C-West fog covers in place - they are a million times better than the STI ones that had been secured in there with a single screw! [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Car is booked in for a day and a half on 20th October to have a full paint decontamination and restoration detail and finished off with a Gtechniq Exo Nano coating to keep it in pristine condition over the winter and next summer. |
