Problems with new Forester. Empty
PostSubject: Problems with new Forester.   Problems with new Forester. EmptySun 10 Aug - 20:13

Just picked up the Forester I bought to replace my flood damaged one and it has a problem before I even got it home. Got the train to Wales to pick car up, payed the man and set off, everything  was going good till I got to Wetherby. Only doing 65-70mph due to horrendous weather conditions, (45 -50mph for first 100 miles)when suddenly the engine wouldn't rev, pulled over switched it off. Waited 5 mins, then re-started and carried on till roughly Haynes Arms on the A19,but this time it was just a 1 second loss. Carried on home(Eston) with no further incidents. Whats the likely culprit ?

My wagon done the same thing when I had it, going 60mph and just wouldn't rev. Pulled over and it was the intercooler pipe had popped off. Caused a massive air leak.

Must be something else as it drove normally after a restart without touching anything.
