god i hate learning the ways of different brand cars . bmw's are easy

ok lads since my last few posts ive gettin the front panel welded into place. bonnet hinges where slightly bent so pulled them straight as adjust them to suit the drivers wing. test fitted all the parts to discover the headlights are pre facelift as the grille wouldnt fit which is defo facelift so the lad i bought them from is goping to change them over on sat for me.
radiators in and fans as it now has a extra fan which should give me better cooling of the radiator.
managed to get the chopped support bar from the front bumper and fitted the one i have. its a classic one so had to modifie it to fit the facelift bumper as they must differ slightly.
mate gave me the sealant for sump what rossi dropped of for me (cheers pal).
so netx time ill be doing things is goin g to be wed morning after work. still need passenegr wing and rad mounts at the top

ok had a go at removing the sump totaly and it was a no go. i got the all the bolts out with the engine in but then came to the actual removing. manage to break the seal and drop the sum and inch lol manifold got in the way on passenegr side as the dipstick tube was touching the heat sheild. which is well stuck on due to rotten bolt heads so probs going to have to get some sockets with them bits oin what grip more the more you turn. not sure on their name but used them befor.
om the drivers side it was hitting the oil cooler pipes so removed that. it would come out if i took the manifolds off but i carnt yet. going to do as im told and juack up the engine a few inches and take the easy route lol.

ok lads got some serious time in at the car started at bout 12 today when i got back from scrappy as went for a wing and rad parts
ill let the pics do the talking lol
sump removed with engine up check out the snap on chocks holding it up lol. could i hell find the wood i set aside just incase i had to lift it

fitted the rear bumper back on so all is good need to drill and bolt the drivers side at arch as its ripped the original out when it was pulled off

test fitted the front skirt

fitted the full front end it still needs the odd tweaking but i expect some niggles with the way it looked befor hand

back in its bed getting its life blood oil lol. still need bottom rad hose or i would of started it up

cheers to rossi today for sorting me some fluids and picking the oil filter up. top lad and tunes where bouncin mate

well bit more work today and got her running. fitted bat and it was dead so jumped it with the beamer and started first turn ran a tad lumpy at first but cleared after a minute no smoke from rear nothing. just a bit steam from down bottom sumwhere but i blame that on the water i spilt on the manifolds.

next step is prep her up then paint. pleased with its outcome now carnt wait to use it.

all well pal need to check this car over and put my mind at rest lmao if your free tomoz would you mind popping round and ill have the oil in and warmed up need to let you hear sumit as not sure if scoobys are ment to do it lmao also need a quick looksy in your engine bay pmsl
most of my other cars have the same tick but just never had a scoob so unsure. nowt what would kill the engine like just need to know if its worth keeping eye on well ears on lol

thats probly your boost solinoid you can hear ticking

Sounds a tad like tappets on a old corsA but doesnt and nowhere near as loud lol

well lads its just about finished now got a few bolts here and there and abit soildering to do for the rear plate lights. need to pick up a plate and tax it today. fit new bulbs and pick spots up tommorow
