Head gaskets Empty
PostSubject: Head gaskets    Head gaskets EmptyWed 18 Jan - 9:33

A little advice please. I'm putting a version 8 sti 2.0 short motor in my blob wagon which is a wrx 2.0. I will be using the std heads and I am led to believe the compression will be slightly different so would need specific thickness on the new head gaskets.
Does anyone know which size I should be putting on?
Thanks, Dave.

As AndyK says, i'd have thought the thinnest headgaskets (thought were 0.6 not 0.7) would keep the correct STI compression. or you not going to have it mapped and want to try and keep the WRX compression ratio?

No hell be getting it mapped, and using .07 at a later date when he fits his larger turbo will mean he can run a little more boost Smile

I dont think hes to bother about keeping it the same but what works and what doesnt Smile
