| My mate has recently bought a new shape Audi TT, when I asked why he had bought a TT he told me he had bought it because he had always wanted a sports car, my reply was I wouldn't classify the TT as a sports car, as my definition of a sports car is something with 2 seats and rear wheel drive, was just wondering if other people on here would class the TT as a sports car and also what your definition of a sports car would be. | |

| Iconic design........but not a sports car by any stretch of the imagination. I'll admit I nearly got one to replace my 2.8L BM, but once I'd driven the TT for 10 mins, I gave my head a shake, bought the red Blob and kept it for 7 yrs. Nuff said. | |

| I would class an Audi TT as a ponces car not a sports car. To me a sports car is something more lotus like. | |

| Well the voting looks pretty conclusive as I thought it would be, with only 1 vote for yes so far (that vote can be discounted though as the person has recently had a bump to the head and may still be delusional ) I will admit that the TT is a nice car to look at and is nice inside but is usually driven by hairdresser's (where's hardy when you need him ) but is definitely not a sports car. I would also agree that true sports cars are the likes of Lotus and Tvr etc. Wonder what response a vote would get if it was on an Audi forum | |

| Depends on the model but IMO not a proper sports car!! More like a poofs car/hair dressers (comments not wanted) | |

It's just the 2litre base model that he has bought so hasn't even got much power at 200bhp | |

| See what you mean but I don't think the drive train being front or rear makes a difference, because you could argue if it has 4 wheel drive it would be a land rover | |
