| Decided to fit a FMIC to the Blob. I know that Andy F and others state that the newage Top mount is good for 400 etc, but I like the look of them and Duncan Graham reckons air temp was the limiting factor on the last map. So that'll do for me..
Question is, which one?
There is a vast difference in prices. I know the likes of Perrin are cracking kit but I think the Jonny Gav 20G will go to about 400 so I'm not going to Drew's or Iddy's level of power.
Would something cheaper suffice? What FMIC's are members running?

The air temp will have got up because it was being mapped on the rollers, no RR fan can blow enough air onto the topmount to simulate driving at even 50mph.....but if you are going for one for looks then great. The hybrid gt spec (hdi) one isnt bad for the money, not sure where in the uk you will get one though.

Is the HDi one the one that goes under the front subframe of the car?? Wasnt Harvey the UK supplier of these?? I saw a post on Scoobynet from Dawn (Harveys Wife) saying she was having a garage clearout.

| I got a Hybrid GT off Harvey Smith's wife Dawn - It was £520. She is in negotiations to sort out a contract at the moment to continue them but who knows how long that will take. If you go on Scoobynet and contact a user called Ryan - Username: Rbon91 he got one from abroad himself for about £475 delivered.
Mine is getting fitted weekend after next, although I have had the pipes powdercoated in satin black and the core painted in satin black also. I replaced any of the silicone joiners with red Samco hoses to match all my existing ones.

| As Iddy says s/h Perrin or Aps one, the hdi ones are ok but the fk up was when they changed the inter cooler pipe to go down next to the starter & under the cradle it's shit it has been known to catch the floor & they nearly always rattle,
Ya better off with a s/h early hdi one
