| The sti 8 intercooler will not fit your car mate, you will need a front mount if you are looking at a lot more power, you can fit the v5/6 sti intercooler but it is quite a bit work and some customising is needed.
Finns ported headers are a very good idea too.

| FPR = sard, fuel lab. DO NOT get an ebay special, nearly sent mine up in flames. |

ERM that would be a NO, i had picked the car up at 3pm on the saturday and the engine didnt have the problem till 22:30 on the sunday and as it had covered 300+ i think he mite be reluctant to contribute ???

I'm guessing the 300 miles you have done are a mere fraction of the miles it has done overall, therefore your contribution to the scenario is minimal. Its more than likely this was an inherent problem and some signs may have already manifested themselves with the previous owner. (Obviously someone a damn sight cleverer than me needs to tell us if there are very obvious tell tale signs ahead of such a catastrophic failure) I'd be surprised if there wasnt some avenue open to you in terms of limited legal recourse, as the vehicle has not demonstrated itself to be of sound nature, as described by the seller in the original advert. Obviously its up to you Shaun, but I'd certainly be inclined to contact them and state your case.
