I have just fitted a 3 inch turbo decat system , trouble is it that I cant get the turbo heat shield back on , is there an aftermarket one or can I leave it off? or will I have to use heat tape on the front pipe?
what gains will I see out of it being fitted ?

It will need trimming to fit the new down pipe, there is good reason to have it fitted, the radiated heat from the turbo will heat up your intercooler as they are very close to each other, the turbo can get up to 900 degrees C so the heat shield is a must have item, I just used a grinder to chop the back out of it and only used the front and top bolts to hold it in place, works a treat.

I tried trimming the side as it wont go past the steering shaft. but couldn't get it to fit
