Are all classic release bearings the same? even when using a paddle clutch?

I had one in the old car Craig, it was a mare for everyday driving. Exceedy twin plate is my choice but pricey.

There are a few types of paddle, but the main differences are if they have a sprung centre or solid centre. The solid centres are as drew said, not that nice to drive with virtually no biting point. The sprung centres are a bit better as they give a softer gear change and more of a biting point.
It's only worth going for a Paddle if you have over 380 bhp.
