Revs Sticking? Empty
PostSubject: Revs Sticking?    Revs Sticking? EmptyThu 28 Jul - 16:44

Its been doing it since I got it back just over a month ago from getting a new clutch and rear diff after Santapods destruction but I have only been driving it the since last Friday while having accident damage sorted and been on holiday. I first noticed it when I put my foot down pulling from Darrens garage, it won't rev past 5k it just jumps harshly then bounces off 5k like a rev limiter. I thought it might have been something to do with the LC (as this is what it is set at) or map but Duncan said not. I took it back to Darren but it didn't do it again for him. It only did it in first gear to start with but this week its doing it every time in every gear. Any Ideas? It needed fixing its really annoying not having the full rev band ha. Only have this weekend to get it looked at as well as I am on 12 hour shifts for the next 2 weeks.

Cheers Andy.

Sounds like your ecu isn't getting a speed signal so thinks you are doing under 7mph and engaging the launch control, take it back to the garage and get them to make sure everything is plugged in correctly.

Well I have had the code reader on it and its showing no errors at all. Got to be the LC nothing else it can be. Just going to have to ask Duncan to remove it, don't really want it anyhow because it keeps breaking the car lol.

Vehicle speed sensor fault, it always trys to bring the revs back under 5000rpm when not receiving the correct signal.

obd reader wont find the code for it as its on the trans/canbus network
