| Hey, Looks like im going to have around 200 to spend soon but not sure whats best to buy. Currently the car has a full decat and a manual boost controller. Id like more power but think my next steps would be a diff turbo/remap which will cost alot more then 200 quid So lets hear it, if you had a my00 turbo 2000... how would you spend your money? Styling? Handling? Iain | |

| Buy an STI. I was looking at T2000's & wrx's before deciding to get a STI, why? Well I knew I'd start modifying and wanting more power so why not start with a 'better' base level and go up from there opposed to modding it to get UPTO STI power and on...

| other air filter, ported headers and downpipe (you can use your headers etc if you get them ported) or buy a mappable ecu think you can have a simtek for that money

| fook srr bud thought it said 2000£ with the ppp you got to have the tmic elbow off prodrive, ewhaust and filters don't think you'll find it any better with that on save for a ecu first and then start tinkering with it | |

| It wont go on without a remap though thats the problem!!
I think im just going to have to save for either a remap or an ecu with the license on!

| Just been reading on the ecutek site about the differences between the 801 and 802 ecu.
I have the 802 which apparently has a much less aggressive map and is about 15 bhp down on power.... Interesting!

| Set of Finns ported headers, turbo inlet pipe mated to a good caik, STI intercooler etc. Those would be the things i'd be looking at |

| ppp ecu as what is fitted standard to rb5 and ltd edition prodrive models will plug and play around + 30-40 bhp | |

| Andy do you have experience with them?
Assuming my car had around 205 bhp standard and with the full decat and mbc running at 1bar most likely has around 230-240, I wonder if I would still gain anything by switching to a ppp.
Maybe another 10-20 bhp bit is it worth it??

| First of all the mods you have are pretty good vfm, if it was my car I would ensure the boost is at 1.1 bar and you have pfr7b plugs fitted running super unleaded fuel only.
Next I would look at replacing the intercooler y pipe for an STI version or a samco version.
I would then fit a set of Finns potted headers.
Then that would be my £200 spent.

tut tut tut Dr K having worked on all my RB5's you should know the ppp ecu was only ever fitted to the WR Sport versions of the RB5 (approximately 150 of 444 RB5's went to Prodrive for this upgrade) and made 240bhp & not the standard which only made 217bhp worth noting that once fitted the Prodrive ecu is very hard to remap as Prodrive locked it to prevent tampering lol check me out putting Dr K right
