I would say anything that alters the induction system or increases flow would then need a remap, just to be on the safe side.
I changed my up pipe to a one which increased spool up and was told by a expert that I didnt need a remap, 3 months later I popped a piston as the car was running to lean.

Didnt put mine on till the day before the map, as Iddy said, anything that increases the air flow / spool up etc prompted me to act on the side of caution. Once mapped in there was a noticeable difference in the car. One of the best most cost effective mods Ive done. Hats off to Finn who provided the service.

Blew the flexi joint out of my japspeed uppipe within 2 weeks of being fitted. Don't think they very robust and I'm not a loony hoony driver........well not all the time like some I could mention.
